The store, Ten Thousand Villages, is a store in Austin, Texas that Butanda and Carmona decided to profile for their journalism video project. Ten Thousand Villages is one of the largest fair trade organizations in the world that sells goods from Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Rugby and Size: Video was created by me covering a student named Kristen Karsten. She is part of the University of Texas at Austin rugby team and I was following her around for a few weeks. The project was for my Reporting Images class. Pictures and audio were edited by me.
Harlem Shake - HVAC Version: Video filmed and edited by me. Interning at the Austin non-profit, Skillpoint Alliance, I had the chance to attend an HVAC graduation. During the time of her internship, the dance crazewas the 'Harlem Shake'. Students and instructor decided to make their own version of the dance move during their graduation.
